Keeping things simple for your setup, this enables a single cable to provide both the network signal and the power to your devices, while also protecting them from high-voltage surge events.

Easy Installation

The surge protector is easily installed, being plug-and-play for your network setup. After that, it only needs a grounding wire connected for a ‘path of least resistance’ to dissipate the voltage of a surge event. In many cases, the network cabinet or bar is already grounded, and is the easiest connection for the ground wire. This device provides bidirectional transmission from both the IN/OUT port. However, it is important to keep in mind that protection is applied to the equipment located downstream from the surge entry point. For complete end-to-end network protection, install a unit at both ends of the RJ45 link.

Specifications

Working voltage - 48V (Power) / 5V (Network Signal)

Rated current - 850mA

Transmission rate - 1000 Mbps

Impulse voltage (10/700us) - 6kV (common-mode) / 2kV (differential-mode)

Clamping voltage - <30V

Insertion loss - <0.2dB

Response time - <1ns
