QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Ask a Question
  • What is the distance of the Yagi Antenna?

I have not been able to try it yet. It is for my motorhome. The biggest issue was finding an older model wifi modem that has screw on antenna. And order the cable with the antenna. They are impossible to find in the retail stores. I will be trying it out in mid April.

  • Does it work with Wireless AC?

Yes it works with 5GHz range only and would be used for infrastructure such as WiMax. There are vendors that sell 2.4GHz only and also dual frequency multi antenna units such as Yagi WiFi Antenna - 2.4GHz/5GHz-5.8GHz - 9dBi - Dual Band/Multi Band - Outdoor - Directional - Wireless LAN Network Antenna - TP541.

  • Can I use this to pick up a free wifi network from my home if I plug into router and modem?

If you are an authorized user on the network yes - you can have considerable stand off with this antenna (if they have a 5.8GHz network).
