$25.00

The Tupavco TP209 is a surge protection device that is inserted inline on an RJ45 CAT5/CAT6/CAT7 cable, preventing damage to your network equipment. Easily mountable on any standard 19" DIN rail in minutes!

It will protect from any voltage spikes such as direct lightning spikes or overvoltages, lowering the voltage to a manageable <30V. It is compatible with IEEE 802.3AT standards and compatible with up to 1000 Mbps and PoE++ technology, ensuring that plugging it into your network will give you peace of mind without losing function. Its low 0.2 dB insertion loss ensures that there is minimal latency or lag added to your network. Its compact and durable design makes it perfect for all applications. Installation is easy, as you simply plug in your lines and are ready to go. Perfect for protecting a various array of devices, from IP cameras to servers and computers. Keep your expensive network components safe without compromising performance!

Gigabit and PoE++ Compatibility

The surge protector supports data rates of 1000 Mbps without slowing down the signal. The surge protector ensures device safety without sacrificing speed and performance with data rate transfers of up to 1 Gigabit per second. This means that you can have peace of mind about the safety of your devices without sacrificing speed for your local area network (LAN), or for any other applications such as a wireless access point, IP or security cameras, VoIP phone, server, or a personal computer.

The surge arrestor is also compatible with PoE++ (IEEE 802.3bt) standards, capable of delivering 41 watts of power to your devices with the same single RJ45 connection line (CAT5/CAT6/CAT6a/CAT7) that transmits the network. Keeping things simple for your setup, this enables a single cable to provide both the network signal and the power to your devices, while also protecting them from high-voltage surge events.

Easy Installation

The surge protector is easily installed, being plug-and-play for your network setup. It is compatible with standard 19” DIN rails, simply clipping onto them. After that, it only needs a grounding wire connected for a ‘path of least resistance’ to dissipate the voltage of a surge event. In many cases, the network cabinet or bar is already grounded, and is the easiest connection for the ground wire. This device provides bidirectional transmission from both the IN/OUT port. However, it is important to keep in mind that protection is applied to the equipment located downstream from the surge entry point. For complete end-to-end network protection, install a unit at both ends of the RJ45 link.
